Rug Cleaning Service
Our proprietary rug cleaning process is one-of-a-kind and will leave you confident that your specific rug will be well handled and cared for by our team of experts. Different fibers require different techniques, but the steps outlined below describe our most common process.
STEP 1) DUSTING
|
STEP 1) DUSTING | Your rug is placed upside down and dust is removed using a gentle electric belt duster on a flat surface for added support. Before we do anything else, we dust off your rug. Our professional rug dusting machine gently beats your rug from the back to remove dust, dander, and other debris. You would be surprised at the amount of dust that is removed even when you don't think your rug is dusty. After this we vacuum the rug. This pre-cleaning procedure is about 50% of the process and it is a crucial step.
As the rug is lifted, you can see how much dust, dirt, and debris was removed using this gentle dusting process alone.

STEP 3) APPLY SPOT TREATMENT
|
STEP 3) APPLY SPOT TREATMENT | At this stage, we will spot clean your rug with a special gentle cleaning solution. The solution blend depends on the type of rug and materials the rug is woven from. Each rug will require a different set of solution blends that is most compatible with its fibers. This is the kind of knowledge that decades of experience professionally cleaning rugs provides us.

STEP 7) WARM WATER RINSE AND EXTRACTION
|
STEP 7) WARM WATER RINSE AND EXTRACTION | This is where the magic happens. Our proprietary process includes the use of fresh warm water to remove all of the shampoo. The rug is rinsed with warm water and squeegeed off until we get rinse off that is what we like to call "drinking water" clear.
|
STEP 8) CENTRIFUGE
|
STEP 8) CENTRIFUGE | The rug is gently rolled and placed in a special centrifuge which is able to expel 95% of the water.

STEP 9) BRUSHING | The rug is brushed with a dry brush to loosen fibers. This encourages the rug to stay soft and supple.
STEP 10) Drying | At this step in the process the rug is hung to dry in a dehumidified room until completely dry for 1-4 days depending on an individual rug's fibers.
STEP 11) SECOND BRUSHING | To loosen fibers and create a supple shine, the rug is brushed again with a dry brush.
SMELL REMOVAL | Occasionally we get a rug that has a lingering smell from animal urine that has become part of the foundational pile of the rug. So at this point we give the rug a vinegar bath sometimes several times. Then we let dry for 24 hours or more. Sometimes this process is repeated several times. Then the vinegar is rinsed. Each time we do this, the rug is placed in the centrifuge to get as much water out as possible to protect the colors of the rug.
